Hey beauty lovers! If you’ve got sensitive, acne-prone skin like me, you’ll know the struggle of finding makeup that won’t irritate your face.

Sadly, some cult-favorites just don’t get along with my skin. especially when it comes to creamy or face-base formulas. Here are a few products that left me with breakouts instead of a glow!

➕ Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

This primer delivers an airbrushed finish that’s seriously stunning, but it tends to clog my pores, especially around the center of my face. I still reach for it on special occasions, but definitely not a daily pick.

➕ Rare Beauty Skin Tint

This was one of the first Rare Beauty items I tried, but it sadly didn’t sit well with my skin. While the formula is lightweight, it didn’t give me the results I was hoping for and triggered some irritation.

➕ Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand

Influenced by the hype, I had high hopes for this one! The finish is gorgeous, but unfortunately, it caused breakouts for me after a few uses. It’s a shame, because I love the look it gives!

Everyone’s skin is different, so what doesn’t work for me might still be your holy grail!
